Sorry Viewers - the Scribe has been away on holiday and has just got the updates of the last couple of games!

Saturday 10th July was the Major Semi final Vs Waihi at Waihi.  The field was slippery after the Under 21 curtain raiser, which upset our chance to warm up on their field :(

The Coach had to present the Team List to the Thames Valley Union by Wednesday and there were 25 names, but we only had 18 stripped for this game.  The game started once again with Whanga hard on attack and Waihi defending their line.  We had one penalty shot but missed and then another which was slotted.  Score 3 -0.  Waihi came straight back with a penalty - 3 All.  Waihi scored out wide just before the half.  Score 8 - 3.

Second half started see-sawing up and down the field with no scoring for 15mins., then Waihi put a move together that scored a converted try.  Score 15 - 3 to Waihi.  They end up winning 23 - 3.

Whanga were not too upset, they had played another 80mins of rugby with no injuries!  Another game next week in the Minor Semi Final against Hauraki North who defeated Paeroa Old Boys 13 - 3.

Seniors Scores:  Tairua were beaten at home by West AND an upset at whitianga saw Hauraki North beat Mercury Bay.
